While our timeless dreaming dens may differ in size and stature, their royal classification is the common denominator. With many featuring stand-alone roll-top tubs, uninterrupted views of our Italian gardens and private lake, as well as grand spaces to relax and lounge, you’ll be sure to catch those all important ‘Z’s’ in style.

From fairytale castle wedding sleepovers to post-event slumbers, wherever you choose to rest your head, your room is sure to offer character and charm in abundance. High ceilings, period features, draped canopies and little luxuries: your castle abode awaits.

Suite by name, suite by nature – our Suites here at Auchen really are the creme de la creme of snoozing.

All featuring grand four-poster beds with beautiful lounge areas and magical views of both the gardens and lake, these dreaming dens are rich in character and charm.

Whilst all of our suites boast the ultimate fairytale feel, our Isla Suite is the sovereign of them all with our most popular Bridal Suite offering that little extra touch of romance.

Luxury Rooms

Putting the 'you' into lux-you-ry

Here at Auchen we believe there are layers to luxury; what you see at first glance compared with what's really on offer can be world's apart.

In the case of our Luxury Rooms, the more you explore, there's more lux to be discovered. What looks to be just a comfortable room actually includes an ornate bathroom with roll-top tub and breathtaking views lake views.

Luxury is available for the whole family – some our Luxury Rooms can accommodate additional beds and cots.

Classic Room

Anything but classic..

Although our Classic rooms are lower down the line of succession to our Luxury rooms and our Suites, this doesn't mean to say they aren't any less special. Our lovely Classics are spacious, elegant and offer all the essentials to enjoy a comfortable stay fit for a royal.

With some boasting views of our private lake and with one of these rooms adorned with gorgeous red tartan wallpaper, there's nothing ordinary about these charming dreaming dens.

Accessible stays

We have an access-friendly room on the ground floor of the castle. We can also place a ramp when needed throughout your stay.

Our Disabled Access Policy explains how we strive to provide the best possible experience for all our guests and visitors through a policy of continuous monitoring and improvement of our facilities and training for our staff.

Dog-friendly stays

Whether you've two legs or four, everyone deserves a little bit of royalty in their life!

About your doggy stay:

Your four-legged friends are welcome to make themselves at home here at the castle, except in our dining room (this includes all sit-down wedding rooms and our breakfast room).
With 34 acres of woodland on our doorstep, we invite your pup to explore until their heart's content. To keep our grounds looking spik and span, we kindly ask that you clean up after your pooch at all times.
All dog-friendly stays must be pre-booked so we can make sure you have the best bedroom for your stay.

We ask just one thing in return: please consider the comfort of other humans, keeping your hound on a lead where necessary and being sure to calm them if they become a bit excited. We understand – we're excited too, but it's always good to be considerate!

Dog-friendly bedrooms need to be pre-booked; a fee of £20.00 applies for each pup (two maximum).

Family-friendly stays

Families are welcome. Many of our Luxury Rooms and Suites have space for an additional bed or cot (provided, with bedding). We have one family room (Luxury Room) which can sleep up to five. Featuring a sofa bed which can be closed off from the main bedroom, this room is perfect for family stays. Please call to book family bedrooms: all our bedrooms are individual and we’ll help you find the best one for your family dynamic.

The supplement is £15.00 per additional guest, per night for an extra bed.

Deposits & cancellations

Your credit or debit card information will be collected when you book, as well as a pre-payment of 25% when booking online. Full payment will be taken on departure.

This pre-payment is only fully refundable if you decide to cancel your booking with at least 48 hours' notice.
